Our Sencha Aloe Vera green tea blend combines immune-boosting aloe vera with bright, sweet and fruity pineapple pieces for a sweet and moreish blend.

Created to take advantage of the wonderful health-boosting qualities of aloe vera in a delicious and refreshing green tea blend; we have combined early season steamed Chinese green tea leaves with fruity, sweet and slightly tart pineapple pieces and pure aloe vera powder. The tea leaves used in this blend are briefly steamed to develop bright, fresh, herbaceous flavours and aid in the increase of natural polyphenol antioxidants.

Sencha Aloe Vera is a great refresher served hot, but also a naturally sweet and refreshing cold-brewed tea with fruity, sweet flavour but completely sugar and calorie free. Simply steep 1tbsp per 200ml filtered cold water overnight in the refrigerator and serve. Add ice and fruit pieces to kick it up a notch.

To Enjoy

Place one teaspoon per cup into an infuser, filter or teapot. Switch the kettle off, before it boils, when you hear the water rumbling. Add the hot, but not boiling, water and infuse for 3 minutes. Serve immediately or remove leaves to prevent spoiling.

Health Benefits

The secret of green tea lies in the fact it is rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallo-catechin gallate (EGCG) - one of the most powerful polyphenols (natural antioxidants) found in green tea.

EGCG has also been reported as effective in lowering LDL cholesterol levels, and inhibiting the formation of abnormal blood clots (thrombosis); considered among the leading causes of heart attacks and strokes.
